W. K. Thomas & Associates is a private, family owned company with offices located in Butler, Pennsylvania. Originally established in 1974 by Bill Thomas as a custom home builder and general contractor, the company has since developed into a leader with over 40 years of construction experience in general contracting, design-build, and construction management services for local business, industry, and community leaders throughout Western PA. Our commercial construction experience has ranged from interior build-outs, construction management of large manufacturing facilities, Butler pre-engineered steel structures of all kinds to design-build church construction.
In 1990, W. K. Thomas & Associates acquired the area franchise for Butler® Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings and has won Butler’s High Performance Dealer Award 15 out of the last 30 years and was named Butler’s East Region Builder of the Year in 2018. Butler® Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings have become a large part of our business and we have been recognized as one of the Top 100 Metal Builder’s in the nation by Metal Construction News in 2011,2012,2015 and 2018.
Brent Thomas Leads Company
In 1999 Bill’s son, Brent Thomas, joined the company and with Bill’s retirement in 2008 has been leading the company as President and Principal Project Leader.
With steady growth and an ever increasing workload it was apparent another team member was needed and in 2010 Jeff Allen was hired as Project Manager. Scott Irvine was added as ProjectManager/Estimator in 2017 and David Thinnes joined our ranks as Project Manager/Estimator in 2018. Together we make certain every phase and aspect of your project is closely coordinated and monitored to ensure the highest quality work is being completed to specification, on time, and on budget.
